Psychology of Weight Loss

This interactive course will focus on understanding the psychological processes underlying weight loss/management. Participants will spend time exploring various strategies that support successful behavior change. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to utilize these practical strategies to support their own weight loss/management and to improve their health and overall well-being.

Instructor: Kathy Feinstein is a licensed mental health counselor and sport performance consultant in Naples. She has more than 14 years of professional experience counseling children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Additionally, Feinstein has post-graduate training in both pediatric obesity and sport and exercise psychology. Her special interests include anxiety and mood disorders, grief and loss, parenting issues, pediatric obesity, performance enhancement, relationship issues, team and coach consulting and weight management. Feinstein holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Florida and a master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
