The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named
Donna J. Brock the student of the month for July.
The Academic Committee consists of the program chairs and other elected faculty, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Brock. Linda was nominated for recognition by Professor Linda Coutts, RHIA, Chair of the Health Information Management (HIM) Program at Hodges.
“Donna has stepped up to the plate and become involved in a variety of HIM activities,” said Professor Coutts. “She has been a student volunteer for the state HIM association at an educational event sponsored by Hodges University. She attends numerous on campus presentations as well as presentations in the community. Donna is also the Hodges student representative for the regional HIM association.
“Through all of this commitment, Donna maintains a stellar grade point average and is very active and engaged in all of her online courses. Donna sees the value in what she is learning and is proud to be a Hodges student. She is the kind of individual Hodges can be proud to have as a student.”
Donna is enrolled in her fourth semester at Hodges taking the online HIM program. She resides in Fort Myers and participates in a variety of campus activities. Donna works full time for the Lee County School District in the Student Welfare and Attendance department. She was previously a local small business owner and has raised two children.
As student of the month, Donna J. Brock will receive a recognition certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
