NAACP Honors International College with Partners in Education Award

The Collier County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) recently bestowed International College with a “Partners in Education” Award. International College received the honor for its involvement with the civil rights organization in providing educational opportunities to minority students during a joint Summer Youth Program. In August, the College awarded two-year scholarships to 36 deserving students who successfully completed the program, consisting of classes in English, math, computer applications and life skills. International College Professor Telemate Jackreece, Ph.D., accepted the award on behalf of the College during the association’s 22nd Annual Freedom Banquet & Awards Ceremony. Ceremony.
