New President's Council Chair Named

International College announces the appointment of Joe Wheeler as Chairman of the President’s Council at the Naples Campus of the College. He succeeds David Pfaff who remains with the Council. Wheeler, who is currently the Area Executive for IronStone Bank, has also served in leadership positions in more than 30 non-profit organizations throughout the region.

International College President Terry McMahan welcomes Wheeler to this new leadership roll. “Joe is very civic-minded, having chaired many other organizations in our area. We are extremely pleased to have someone of his caliber lead the President’s Council members through our next period of growth.”

For Wheeler’s part, he sees the benefits received both by the International College students as well as the entire community. “This Institution is so important to our community because it helps to improve one’s overall growth potential. Best of all, the graduates of the College seem to stay here in the region and that contributes greatly to our area’s continued growth.” Wheeler has received several awards, both in his banking and his civic endeavors, including “Up and Comer in Banking,”
Chamber Member of the Year, and President’s Excellence Award for Outstanding Private Industry Council.

The President’s Council at International College is a group of area business and civic leaders gathered to create awareness and support for the College. The Council meets monthly to discuss key issues facing the College.
