Score To Hold Small Business Workshops
The Naples/Collier chapter of SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) is holding free workshops in August.
"Making Your Computer Your Business Partner" will be held Tuesday, August 14 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Collier County Public Library, 650 Central Avenue, Naples. Gregory Nelson, owner of Mainware Inc., a company that provides product and utility software to Fortune 1000 companies, will show the basics of business software and the use of the Internet for software updates. His discussion will also include solutions and fixes to common computer problems.
"Bookkeeping and Record-Keeping" will be held Saturday, August 18, from 9 a.m. to noon at International College, 2655 Northbrooke Drive, North Naples. The College is off Immokalee Road, just east of the Exit 17 interchange on Interstate 75.
Henry Rambacher, certified public accountant, will demonstrate manual accounting methods. Ted Hall, former chief financial officer of Sambol Companies in Toms River, N.J., will explain Quickbooks, computerized accounting software designed for small businesses.
