The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Jason Downs the student of the month for January. The Academic Committee consists of the program chairs and other elected faculty, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Brock. Jason was nominated for recognition by Dr. Char Wendel.
“Jason is a student that any professor and university would love as he is always complaining that he wants more work to do, not for extra credit, but because he wants to maximize his learning,” said Dr. Wendel. “He is a true leader and has shown that he is willing to take the initiative to succeed and assist his classmates to also do so. In Introduction to Law this semester, he created a study guide that he willingly shared with his classmates. This was such quality work, that I will be –with his permission—sharing with students in upcoming courses. Jason is a full-time online student, a business owner, and a new father, and plans on attending law school upon completion of his degree at Hodges University.”
As student of the month, Jason Downs will receive a recognition certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
