The Falciglia Art Gallery of Hodges University is proud to present representative art works of Sam Leotta, painter, sculptor, and industrial designer. The exhibit is on display now through November 3 at the Naples campus of Hodges University, 2655 Northbrooke Drive.
The art works range from youthful sculptures, such as the photo image of John Brown, famous by the Civil War song and poem –praised by Frank Lloyd Wright, to Sam’s most recent abstract painting.
Creating art is as natural to Sam as taking photos to most travelers. The Retrospective includes several drawings and watercolors based on views from around the world; from Brazil to Monte Carlo, from Key West to Jamaica.
A highlight of the creative journey is a life-sized detail and small scale presentation of an American mural, featuring a dramatic rendering of a Native American, pilgrims and the progression of life, from birth to golden years.
The center piece of the art show is the “Tree of Life” sculpture, a 14-foot tall work installed in the atrium of the George Gaynor building at Hodges’ Naples campus. The Falciglia Arts Gallery is off the atrium.
The Retrospective celebrates Sam Leotta on his 96th Birthday!
