Professional Development Center to host employment law lecture

The Professional Development Center at Hodges University will host a free session on employment law on Monday, October 22, from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the Hodges Naples campus, 2655 Northbrooke Drive off of Immokalee Road.

Otto Immel, a labor and employment attorney, will discuss important legal issues in the hiring process and critical wage and hour issues for managers. He will present a step-by-step guide to the proper completion of US Customs and Immigration form I-9, and will also discuss how to take corrective measures when dealing with problem employees and the importance of properly documenting performance issues. Finally, he will discuss the need for civility in the workplace, how to spot a workplace bully, and what to do about it. There will be a question and answer session following the workshop.

The event is free of charge, but a reservation is required. Please contact Mandy Goldenberg at 239-598-6143.
