The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Jodi Van De Gejuchte the student of the month for September. The Academic Committee consists of the program chairs and other elected faculty, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Brock. Jodi is a Hodges student attending classes at the Florida Keys Community College Learning Site, and was nominated for the award by Professor Tony Williams.
“Jodi has been a team player during her class assignments and exhibits a great deal of leadership by assisting her fellow students,” explained Professor Williams. “Despite her personal work obligations and taking care of six children, she has agreed to speak at Orientation for the incoming Bachelor of Science in Management students. She is a strong supporter of Hodges and participates in HU sponsored community events. Jodi’s presentation skills are among the best I have ever witnessed.”
Jodi Van De Gejuchte is an Army veteran and supports the Wounded Warrior Project in the Keys area. As the student of the month, she will receive a formal letter with the nomination comments for her portfolio and files, a certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
