Professor Cindy Gomez began teaching at Hodges University, September 2010 in the Liberal Arts department. Her courses include Fundamentals 1, Fundamentals 2, Composition 1, Composition 2, and SI Writing Lab Facilitator.
Professor Gomez earned her bachelor degree at Cedarville University, her master’s from Florida International University, and is currently pursuing a PhD from Capella University.
Before joining Hodges, Cindy spent 15 years teaching English in the public school system. She also taught part time at Florida International University in the School of Education, and at Broward College in Teacher Education. Professor Gomez served as the ESOL Program Coordinator at Flanagan High School and as a writing consultant for the National Writing Project. She is also recognized as a National Board Certified Teacher in A/YA Language Arts.
Professor Gomez is married with 2 children. When she is not working, you will mostly likely find her at Starbuck's or Panera Bread.
