Amy Babb joined Hodges University’s School of Allied Health in 2011, and has
taught in both the Health Studies and Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Programs. She is currently the Program
Chair of the PTA Program. Prior to joining
Hodges, Dr. Babb taught in the PTA program at Broward College, Edison State
Babb has worked as a physical therapist in a variety of settings including
pediatrics, neurology, orthopedics, geriatrics, and home health as well as in a
private practice physical therapy clinic that she opened. She has designed and developed community
education programs for hospitals and private clinics. She also designed, developed and operated a comprehensive
inpatient and outpatient Spine Center.
Babb received a Bachelor in Communications with a minor in Education from
University of Florida; a Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of St.
Augustine; and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Temple University. She is also the Vice Chair and a member of
the Florida Physical Therapy Board of Practice. Married with several children and grandchildren, Amy is a former disc
jockey and newscaster who enjoys music, traveling, and learning.
