Hodges University offers workforce-directed certificates and degrees that are in demand in the region and beyond. Areas include healthcare, technology, business, management, and finance. Students can take classes on campus, online, and through our Technology Enhanced Classrooms (TEC), which allows them to attend class from anywhere, live online. Hodges University also offers an outstanding English as a Second Language (ESL) certificate program.
Beginning with the Lehigh Acres Goodwill location, HU Direct will have access to classroom space and an instructor’s office, right in Lehigh Acres, in Goodwill’s CRC. Classes and workshops can be held in the Lehigh Acres community on days and times that best suit the community’s residents. Hodges University is known for specializing in adult learners, which is why most programs are held in the evenings and on weekends on campus, or online.
At first glance, it may seem that Hodges University and Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida wouldn’t have much in common. However, with both organizations working together, we can better address the workforce training needs in our region.
Both Goodwill and Hodges University work hard to be accessible, yet there is another way to take that to the next level. Goodwill offers a strong start for those looking to begin or change a career due to the upheaval caused by COVID-19. Hodges University has launched a new initiative called HU Direct, An Express Division of Hodges University.
This alliance brings more educational and workforce training opportunities to residents, right in their community.
